What don’t you like about your teeth? No matter what it is you’ve probably spent time wondering how you can fix the problem, but like a lot of people you decide not to do anything. The most common reason? Because everyone assumes cosmetic dentistry takes too long.

In many cases it does take a while, but there is a fast cosmetic solution available at our Honolulu office that can have you in a new smile in just two visits: veneers. With just a thin layer of porcelain we can have you smiling in a way you never thought possible before. And all without the wait!

What Are Veneers?

A dental veneer is just like any other kind of veneer: it’s a thin layer that’s put on the front of a base material to enhance its look, eliminate flaws, and perfect its appearance. Just like a thin layer of beautifully stained wood, dental veneers go on the front of your teeth to correct almost any cosmetic flaw you could imagine.

We use state-of-the-art ultra-thin dental porcelain to craft a new look for your smile based on an impression of your teeth. We’ll first remove a super-fine layer of enamel so that your veneers can fit onto your teeth better, and then we’ll use the impression to craft your new look right here in our office.

Because we’re able to craft our veneers in-house we can control the entire process, which means your results will be absolutely perfect.

What Can Dental Veneers Do?

When we recommend veneers to our patients, many of them are hesitant – they don’t think veneers can really get them the results they want. Those same patients are usually singing a different tune when they’re sporting their new smile!
Veneers can fix a number of cosmetic flaws, including:

  • Chips
  • Worn teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Cracked or broken teeth
  • Deep stains that won’t bleach out
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Minor alignment problems

Those are just some of the things we can do with our cosmetic veneers. To truly find out if we can make them work for you we’ll have to see you at our office for a consultation.

How Can They Be Done In Just Two Visits?

At your first veneer appointment we’ll discuss what your needs are. We’ll then do some minor reshaping of your teeth and take your impressions. After that we hand the process off to our in-house cosmetic technician, who crafts your veneers to exact specifications that we set out during your first visit.

At a second appointment, usually a couple of weeks later,  we’ll attach your veneers and make any minor modifications necessary. That’s it – once they’re attached and you’re happy with your look you’re ready to enjoy your brand new smile without any restrictions. No healing, no recovery time, and no going gentle on them for a week or two!

Do Veneers Look Fake?

In decades past veneers used to have a bad reputation. Everyone assumed they looked square, bright white, and fake. They quickly earned the nickname “chiclet teeth,” but those days are long past us.

The dental porcelain that we use to craft veneers is much denser and stronger than the stuff that was used in the olden days. Because it’s so tough we can make our veneers thinner, yet stronger. This also gives them a higher degree of translucency, which makes them look even more real.

Are Veneers Right For Me?

When people hear about the benefits of modern cosmetic veneers many of them assume that there’s no way they could work for them – just like the patients we’ve talked to before. Others just think their teeth are far too bad to benefit from anything but full orthodontic treatments, but that’s not true either.

Veneers can be used to treat most basic cosmetic issues, and even some more complicated ones. If you want to get a great new look and don’t have the time, energy, or desire to wait years or try various methods that don’t work then veneers are for you.

Why not give us the chance to show you what we can do to your smile with veneers? All it takes is one no-obligation consultation to determine if you’re a good candidate for veneers. After that the choice is up to you!
