Your gums help keep your teeth in place and protect your whole body from harmful bacteria. That’s why it’s so important to keep your gums healthy. We wanted to briefly share ways you can maintain good oral health between your appointments:
- Floss Daily – Most people remember to brush their teeth, but far more people forget to floss. Make sure to incorporate a daily flossing routine. It gets rid of bacteria you miss with brushing alone.
- Don’t Over Do The Sugar – Sugar blends in with the bacteria in your mouth and can lead to cavities and other oral health problems. Limit how much you indulge and brush 30 minutes after your treat.
- Visit the Dentist Twice a Year – We encourage you to visit us every six months for a cleaning and exam. It allows us to check for any signs of concern and give you a thorough cleaning, getting rid of lingering tartar and plaque.
